Sonos Speaker Family – Product Review
We hate to use old school clichés, but–Sonos is the bee’s knees, the coolest thing since sliced bread, it’s all that and a bag of chips! We can go on, but we digress.
Today, we want to tell you all about the Sonos speaker family. Let’s begin with a list of the products that make up the Sonos family that we can help you put together at the store.
Powered Speakers (all can be used individually or a pair can be set up in stereo):
- PLAYBAR ($699) – sound bar to create wireless surround sound system; can be paired with SUB ($699) and 2x PLAY:1 or 2x PLAY:3 (as surround speakers) to create complete 5.1 surround sound system
With ALL of these options Sonos makes it easy to get music through your entire house. You can have the same song playing through every room, if you wish, or have music split between different floors, rooms, inside vs. outside. The technology behind “pairing” and zoning is incredible. Therefore, offering what the staff here at Hifi Buys calls having a high wife acceptance rating. To make it even easier on everyone in the family – all you have to do is connect the Sonos speakers through wifi and use anything from iTunes, Pandora or Tidal.
