Anthem Announces New Slate of Products

The great folks at Anthem claim one simple goal – to design, engineer and manufacture audio/video products that deliver premium performance and convenience at a reasonable price. They do this by spending thousands of hours selecting and testing components, carefully designing circuit topologies, and backing them with robust power supplies that ensure maximum long-term quality and reliability. Their obsessive dedication to high performance and value doesn’t end when a product leaves the factory; they provide unfaltering support for everything they make.

With that in mind, they are proud to continue this winning formula as they introduce their newest generation of multi-channel A/V Receivers, A/V Processors and Power Amplifiers, coming in December 2020.

Meet the new MRX, AVM and MCA series of A/V solutions.

AVM PROCESSORS

Since the AVM 50 and Statement D2 A/V Processors, music lovers and home theater enthusiasts have coveted Anthem’s premium surround separates. Featuring industry-leading room correction, expert management of the latest audio formats and robust integration; Anthem is the ultimate nerve center of any premium home theater or media room.

With the latest version of ARC Genesis Room Correction, a redesigned and more accurate calibration microphone, Anthem Web User Interface, an all-new electronics platform and a new modernized design; the new AVM 70 and flagship AVM 90 A/V Processors bring all of today’s technologies into a single component. Object-oriented audio codecs have been updated with support for up to 15.4 channels; as well as built-in streaming support for Apple AirPlay2, Google Chromecast, Bluetooth, Spotify Connect (coming soon) and Roon (coming soon). Video support includes 7 HDMI 2.0 inputs with 2 outputs, plus eARC for seamless integration with smart TVs. Perfect passthrough of Ultra HD signals at up to 18.2 Gbps with Dolby Vision, HDR or Hybrid Log Gamma ensures optimal presentation of your visual media.

The AVM 90 is their new flagship A/V Processor with upgraded audio circuitry, 4 independent subwoofer outputs and a 32-bit AKM AK4499EQ DAC with 768kHz sampling capability. It represents Anthem’s ultimate expression of audio performance.

MRX A/V RECEIVERS

Anthem’s MRX A/V Receivers are about maximizing performance for the money. Building on the feature set of previous models, they’ve added the newest version of ARC Genesis, a redesigned and more accurate calibration microphone, Anthem Web User Interface, integrated streaming support, object-oriented audio codecs with support for up to 15.2 channels and the clean power delivery Anthem is known for with up to 140 watts per channel. The MRX 540, 740 and 1140 are a great way to bring premium audio to any home theater or media room. Seamlessly integrate your smart TV or projector with 7 HDMI inputs and 2 outputs, plus eARC. Ultra HD signals are passed through unaltered up to 18.2 Gbps with Dolby Vision, HDR and Hybrid Log Gamma support.

MCA AMPLIFIERS

Home theater separates rely on clean power to make their magic. Anthem’s MCA Power Amplifiers are available in 2, 3 and 5 channel configurations; and are a perfect match for the AVM 70 and AVM 90 A/V Processors both sonically and cosmetically. Their Gen2 amplifiers bring improvements to internal power supplies and wiring to provide greater transparency with dynamically complex material. Background noise is almost completely eliminated thanks to a 120dB signal-to-noise ratio. Power ratings start at 225 watts into 8 Ohms and go up to 600 watts into 2 Ohms with perfect stability while driving the most demanding speaker loads. Advanced Load Monitoring ensures protection from clipping and maintains long-term performance and reliability. Their new modernized design integrates beautifully with their AVM AV Processors. With high current output and low distortion, you don’t just watch movies or listen to music, you experience them.

All Anthem AVM Processors and MRX Receivers include a robust set of streaming options which can pull your music in from local storage or from the Internet. Thanks to Anthem’s high-speed processing and premium digital-to-analog conversion using high end DACs, sound quality can be every bit as good as dropping a CD into a dedicated disc player. In some cases, high resolution streams can sound even better than CDs, approaching the quality of SACD, DVD-A, and Blu-ray audio.
