House of Mirrors by All Them Witches

If you’re looking for something fresh but heavy, the new album by All Them Witches, House of Mirrors, is definitely worth a spin. It’s their first big release in six years and features a new drummer, giving the band a totally re-energized feel. Instead of just sticking to their usual style, they mix heavy, trippy rock with some surprising folk and bluegrass vibes. It sounds like a cool mix between Queens of the Stone Age and Tool, but with a gritty, swampy blues twist. The whole album flows together perfectly, but the best places to start are “Starting Line,” which feels super raw and personal, “Red Rocking Chair,” which has an awesome, driving beat, and the massive final track, “Saturn Song.” It’s just a flat-out great rock album that keeps you guessing from start to finish.
